Echo Locator Autumn 'Microbat Edition'

The Echo Locator live music series presented by Holiday Maker Records brings interstate and regional artists to the Quad for a series of free and all ages concerts. 

Inspired by the process of echolocation, the four seasonal music events will investigate sonic and spatial orientations of the Quad, with each themed edition exploring a distinct local phenomenon and musical format.

The Echo Locator program begins on Saturday, 31 May with the Autumn edition honouring the microbat. A crucial part of the local ecosystem, the microbat uses the bizarre process of echolocation to navigate its environs.

We honour the microbat with echo-laden sounds at dusk in the corner of the Quad, featuing live bands The Patersons (Vic), Love Banana & Liminal, vinyl DJs Holiday Maker & Howl & Moan, plus 'Bat Mobile' kinetic microbat installation by Lara Gogh.

Free for all ages from 2:30pm - 6pm in the Lismore QUAD, presented by Holiday Maker.

Holiday Maker is an artist-run record label formed in a caravan in 2020. The label is currently co-based in Lismore and Melbourne and releases contemporay and archival recordings alongside curating tours and events nationally.
