This free, all-ages event invites you to relax on the grass at The Quad. Bring your picnic blankets, chairs, and dinner for a night filled with the soulful folk and country sounds of Emily Lubitz and The Family Jordan.

With that timeless, aching quality that only the great voices have, Lubitz is every singer’s favourite singer, a captivating live performer who has won the hearts of audiences around the world, and yet she is more priestess than popstar, creating her own iconography that sears itself into the listener’s imagination. 

A veteran of the scene, Lubitz has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages and collaborated with the likes of Paul Kelly, Martha Wainwright, Clare Bowditch and the album she recorded with old friend Mama Kin, and yet her solo work is imbued with the raw energy of a breakthrough artist. 

Lubitz prowls the stage with the gravitas of a giant Edith Piaf stalking through a post-apocalyptic Laurel Canyon.

Family Jordan

Family Jordan is an Australian folk-rock band fronted by singer-songwriter Jordan Rochfort. Formed in Brisbane in 2013, the group fuses folk, country, spoken word, and psychedelic rock to create a distinctive sound. Now based in Lismore/Northern Rivers with a rotating lineup and a unique lyrical style, Family Jordan has established itself as a beloved favourite amongst artists and fans alike.

Since their formation, Family Jordan have been a compelling, ever-evolving entity. Their cosmic country and psych rock beginnings in 'Super Nobody Group From Nowhere' and 'Holy Smokes' led to the profound, intimate balladry of 'Homo Exotica' and their fourth LP 'Big Grass' released in 2021 sees the band express a distinctive folk and country rock sound that is both timeless and completely their own.

In 2024 the group are writing and testing new material before recording their fifth album. The Family Jordan live band currently involves:
